Click here to download a pdf version of a magazine article I wrote that reveals my thoughts about appearing in two films as a “public adoptee.” Once you download it, you can “zoom in” to magnify the print– it’s kind of small.
This piece was published in the August/September 2008 issue of Adoption Today: International & Transracial Adoption Resource. Please do read the entire issue since many of the articles are of high quality and are quite informative. I especially recommend the pieces by Jane Brown on racial identity, and by my new friend Analee Matthews (whom I met at NACAC in Ottawa). Analee is a so-called “war orphan” who was adopted as an infant from Vietnam by white parents in Australia.
